Schedule Details

Day 1 - Welcome to Sri Lanka

Arrive in Colombo and transfer to your hotel. During the day, you have the option of a walking tour through the neighboring fort area to discover cultural insights with a local specialist. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing hotel dinner, anticipating your upcoming holiday in Sri Lanka.

Day 2 - Colombo to Kandy: Culture and Spice

This morning, we will take you on a sightseeing tour of Colombo. Highlights include the Galle Face Green, Gangaramaya Temple, and the Independence Square. Later, we will journey inland to the UNESCO listed, Ancient City of Kandy visiting a spice garden to learn about the ancient art of Ayurvedic healing. Once in Kandy you can relax and enjoy the serene settings of the ancient city.

Day 3 - Kandy's Culture Unveiled

As dawn illuminates Kandy's hills, we will explore the ancient city with visits to the Temple of the Tooth, the Buddhist temple that houses the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha, sample street food by Kandy Lake and view a captivating cultural dance show which highlights traditions that span over 2500 years. We will also pay our respects at the Kandy War Cemetery : the final resting place of the heroic soldiers who gave their lives in defense of Sri Lanka during WW2.

Day 4 - Journey to the Tea Hills of Nuwara Eliya

Today, we will journey to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya, 6000 feet above sea level, seeing tea gardens and waterfalls. Our day begins with a captivating tour of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Its highlights include a fine collection of orchids and a stately avenue of royal palms. We will also visit a Tea Plantation for an exciting introduction to Ceylon Tea and to meet tea pluckers with opportunities for a tea tasting. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the subtle charm of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5 - Nuwara Eliya's Culture and Yala's Wildlife

Awaken to Nuwara Eliya's crisp air and explore its unique culture, visiting the local markets and admiring the architecture. Later, we will journey south to Yala for a thrilling afternoon jeep safari, with a local wildlife specialist, where you could spot elephants, leopards, and diverse birdlife.

Day 6 - Tissamaharama, Forts, and Galle's architecture

Awaken to the sounds of the jungle. Visit nearby Tissamaharama for a tour of its ancient temples. Later, we will journey to Matara to explore the Dutch Star Fort and to see stilt fishing, a dying form of fishing, before arriving in Galle where you can enjoy a free afternoon.

Day 7 - Galle's History and a Colombo Gathering

Today, we will go on a sightseeing tour of the Old Fort and Ramparts, a UNESCO site, with a local specialist. Afterward, we will journey to Colombo where on arrival, you can explore a local craft market and the Pettah Bazaar. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner, celebrating your Sri Lankan journey.

Day 8 - Farewell Sri Lanka

Enjoy a relaxed Colombo breakfast before checking out. Depending on your flight, you might have free time to explore Colombo. We will then transfer you to the airport for your departure, concluding your visit to Sri Lanka.
